Objectives of the Internship Program

Who Should Apply?
The Bank is seeking candidates currently pursuing or recently graduated from master’s level programs in the following fields:
- Agriculture, Engineering, Finance, Economics, Investment, Procurement, and Sustainability
- Operations and Risk Management
- Human Capital, Human Resources, and Capacity Development
- Information and Real Estate Management
- Governance, Law, and Corporate Advisory
- Translation, Communication, and Statistics
- Any field relevant to AfDB’s operations
Students working on projects aligned with the Bank’s mission will receive special consideration.
Internship Terms and Benefits
- Duration: 3 to 6 months (one-time opportunity)
- Location: On-site in Abidjan or remotely, based on business needs
- Benefits:
- Monthly stipend
- Medical insurance (for eligible interns)
- Visa assistance (for on-site interns)
- Responsibilities:
- On-site interns cover their own travel and living costs.
- Remote interns must have access to a reliable computer, internet, and workspace.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, you must:
- Be between the age of majority and 30 years old at the internship start date
- Be a citizen of an AfDB member country
- Be currently enrolled in or recently graduated (within 1 year) from a master’s program
- Be fluent in English or French
- Be able to use Microsoft Office applications (knowledge of SAP is a plus)
- Provide an enrollment letter or degree certificate
