We are excited to announce that applications for the 2025-2027 academic cycle of the Erasmus Mundus Master’s Program in Public Policy (Mundus MAPP) are now open. This prestigious program, supported by the European Union’s Erasmus+ initiative, offers a unique opportunity to study public policy across multiple European institutions.
Program Overview
Mundus MAPP is a collaborative program delivered by a consortium of four renowned universities:
- Central European University Private University (CEU PU)
- Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals (IBEI)
- International Institute of Social Studies of Erasmus University Rotterdam (ISS)
- University of York

The program offers four distinct mobility tracks, each focusing on a specialized area of public policy:
- CEU PU-IBEI Track: Global Public Policy specialization
- CEU PU-York Track: European Public Policy specialization
- ISS-IBEI Track: Political Economy and Development specialization
- ISS-York Track: Governance and Development specialization
Application Process
Admissions to Mundus MAPP are centrally administered by CEU PU. Applicants must submit their applications through the CEU PU online application portal. Please note that applications submitted to other consortium universities will not be considered. Besides submitting the online application form candidates will be required to upload supporting documentation which is listed here.
Key Steps:
- Choose Your Mobility Track: Applicants may apply to only one of the four available tracks.
- Complete the Online Application Form: Accessible via the CEU PU application portal.
- Upload Supporting Documents: Detailed information on required documentation is available on the Mundus MAPP admissions page.
Application Deadlines:
- February 4, 2025: Deadline for applicants seeking financial aid or early self-funded applications.
- April 15, 2025: Deadline for non-EU/EEA residents not applying for financial aid.
- July 1, 2025: Deadline for EU/EEA residents not applying for financial aid.

Financial Aid and Scholarships
The Mundus MAPP Consortium offers Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters (EMJM) scholarships to outstanding applicants from both within and outside the EU. These scholarships provide a monthly contribution of €1,400 for the duration of the 24-month program, totaling €33,600, to assist with travel, visa, installation, and subsistence costs. Additionally, EMJM scholarship recipients receive a full tuition fee waiver. Further details are available on the Mundus MAPP Financial Aid page.
