The STEM Careers Programme, a joint venture of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and the Pakistan Institute of Engineering & Applied Sciences (PIEAS), is inviting students to participate in the 22nd National Science Talent Contest (NSTC-22). This prestigious contest serves as the gateway for Pakistani students to compete in the International Science Olympiads 2026 in Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics.
Compete at the Highest Level
Selected students will have the incredible opportunity to compete in the following International Science Olympiads:
- 67th International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) – China
- 58th International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO) – Uzbekistan
- 37th International Biology Olympiad (IBO) – Lithuania
- 56th International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) – Colombia
All competitions will be held in July 2026, giving students ample time to prepare for this life-changing experience.
Exciting Rewards & Prizes
NSTC-22 doesn’t just offer a chance to compete at the global level—it also provides substantial rewards:
🏅 Gold Medal – Rs. 500,000
🥈 Silver Medal – Rs. 250,000
🥉 Bronze Medal – Rs. 100,000
🎖 Honorable Mention – Rs. 50,000

Additionally, the top 500 students in each subject will receive participation certificates.

Eligibility Criteria
To apply for NSTC-22, students must meet the following criteria:
✅ Current students of Pre-9th, 9th, 10th, or 11th grade (Matric/O-Level, or F.Sc Part-1/A-Level-1)
✅ Minimum 60% marks in core science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics) in the latest exam
✅ Age below 20 years as of 30th June 2026
❌ Not eligible: Students currently studying in F.Sc Part-II, A-Level Part-II, or university students

The NSTC-22 Screening Test will be held in June 2025 across 19 major cities in Pakistan:

World-Class Training & International Exposure
